Kimberli Costabile

Kimberli Costabile is a strategic communications consultant with expertise in grassroots lobbying and public relations. She has worked with a variety of companies and organizations to define their public affairs strategy, and has provided media relations, legislative analysis and positioning expertise.

Kimberli was an award-winning newspaper journalist in Chicago and San Diego. She then covered White House press briefings and congressional hearings on immigration policy, appropriations, labor and public broadcasting, before transitioning into strategic communications planning and public affairs work.

Kimberli created the communications plan and rollout for the Small Business Administration's LowDoc loan program in 1994 including all collateral material and briefed SBA administrators and Vice President Gore on SBA compliance to the National Performance Review. While working for the Direct Impact Company, she pioneered powerful systems for screening, recruiting, coaching, and retaining grassroots advocates, and she was part of the team that originated and refined grasstops strategy to impact legislation in state legislatures and Congress.

As communications coordinator for a non-profit, she integrated communications strategy impacting fundraising, membership, board relations, corporate partners and advocacy to maximize impact in each of those areas. She continues to advise clients in the public, private and non-profit sector.
